More Rock Sorting Activities

We continued to learn about different rocks. We learned that sand and gravel are both rocks.

Living Healthy

One of the current events topics this month was the health risks that result from smoking. We studied how smoking effects our lungs. Please listen to a student discuss the dangers of smoking.

Sorting Rocks with Screens

We continued our unit on rocks by sorting rocks using screens.  We used three different-sized screens to sort out a bag of rocks.  We learned how rocks come in all shapes and sizes.

We studied the properties of rocks by rubbing them together.  We discovered how some rocks are harder than others.
